cupcake party
Banana chocolate chip with cream cheese frosting, orange vanilla swirl with orange buttercream, chocolate with raspberry filling and chocolate fudge buttercream, and white velvet with pineapple filling and coconut buttercream :)
sheet cakes galore
Lately I have been asked to do a lot of sheet cakes, which I really enjoy--and they are much easier to transport than wedding cakes!
minnie mouse
My sweet four year-old niece requested a "round cake, lemon, with Minnie-mouse's face, polka dots, and flowers." To make Minnie's face I rolled out a a piece of gumpaste thin enough that I could see through it to trace a printed picture. Then I painted the colors and details with food color gels. The bow, polka dots, and flowers are made out of gumpaste. The cake itself is frosted in fluffy lemon buttercream.
